Aiming to boost aid, Israel to allow gradual flow of goods to Gaza's private sector

Israel will gradually allow private sector goods into Gaza after nearly a year, aiming to increase aid and reduce UN reliance. This decision follows reports of 88% of UN aid trucks not reaching their destinations due to looting. The move has drawn criticism from hawkish groups who claim it will benefit Hamas. Simultaneously, an IDF officer was moderately injured by an explosive device in Gaza, and the IDF reported striking numerous Hamas targets, including tunnels. The announcement comes amidst international concern over starvation in Gaza and ongoing conflict.
