Lin-Manuel Miranda announced on "The Tonight Show" that the filmed version of the original Broadway cast of "Hamilton" will be released in theaters nationwide and in Puerto Rico on September 5th. The film, a live capture of the 2016 production, was originally slated for theatrical release but delayed due to the pandemic. Tickets go on sale August 6th. This follows the film's successful Disney+ release in 2020.
