Apple's iOS 26, featuring a new Liquid Glass design and several other updates, will be released this fall. However, iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max users will be unable to upgrade. The update includes a redesigned phone app with Hold Assist, real-time Live Translate, and a polling feature for group messages. Compatible iPhones include models from 2019 onwards. While older iPhones will miss out on security updates and new features, iOS 26 is expected around mid-September.
