BYU Cougars start the 2025 season ranked No. 23 in the preseason US LBM Coaches Poll, following an 11-2 season in 2024. Five Big 12 teams are ranked, with Arizona State leading at No. 11. Utah, despite a 5-7 season, received votes. Texas secured the No. 1 spot in the poll, narrowly beating Ohio State. Other top-ten teams include Penn State, Georgia, Notre Dame, Clemson, Oregon, Alabama, LSU, and Miami.
