A boat carrying 154 Ethiopian migrants capsized off the coast of Yemen, resulting in the deaths of 68 and leaving 74 missing. The incident, the latest in a string of deadly shipwrecks, occurred in the Gulf of Aden. Only 12 migrants survived. The migrants were fleeing conflict and poverty in hopes of reaching Gulf Arab countries. The Abyan security directorate launched a search and rescue operation, but many bodies were found scattered along the shore.
