Connecticut Sun will reportedly be sold for $325M and could relocate to Boston by 2027

A group led by Boston Celtics minority owner Steve Pagliuca reportedly agreed to buy the Connecticut Sun WNBA franchise for a record-breaking $325 million. The deal, pending WNBA approval, includes a $100 million investment for a new Boston practice facility and relocating the team. Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey supports the move, believing it would benefit both Boston and the WNBA. This would mark the Sun's second relocation; they previously moved from Orlando to Connecticut in 2002.
