Trump rejigs tariff rates ahead of deadline, levies 40% duties on all transshipped goods

President Trump signed an executive order Thursday adjusting reciprocal tariffs on numerous countries. New duties range from 10% to 41%, with an additional 40% tariff for goods transshipped to evade duties. Countries not on the list face a 10% increase. The order modifies April's directive, effective seven days after issuance. Canadian exports will see a tariff hike to 35%, excluding USMCA-covered goods.
