Russian oil tankers linger near India as refiners seek alternatives, Bloomberg reports

At least four Russian oil tankers are idling off India's coast as Indian refiners reconsider purchases amid US and EU sanctions pressure. State-owned companies haven't bought Russian crude recently, shifting to alternative sources like the Middle East and West Africa. This follows US threats of tariffs on Indian goods due to its continued purchase of Russian oil. While private refiners continue imports, the halt by state-owned companies, which control over 60% of refining capacity, significantly impacts Russia's oil market share in India.
