The Philadelphia Phillies acquired closer Jhoan Duran from the Minnesota Twins in a deadline trade. In exchange, the Twins received pitching prospect Mick Abel and catching prospect Eduardo Tait. Duran provides the Phillies with a much-needed high-leverage reliever, while Tait, a strong hitter with power potential, is considered the more valuable prospect of the two traded. Abel, despite possessing impressive velocity, has struggled with command and control.
