Eugenio Suárez, a powerful hitter with 36 home runs, was traded by the Arizona Diamondbacks to the Seattle Mariners. In return, the Diamondbacks received first baseman Tyler Locklear and pitching prospects Hunter Cranton and Juan Burgos. Suárez, who had a stellar second half of the 2024 season, is a rental for Seattle, but his performance could lead to a lucrative contract extension. The Mariners also acquired Josh Naylor earlier, significantly strengthening their lineup. This trade represents a homecoming for Suárez, who played for Seattle previously.
