Foo Fighters and Nine Inch Nails are swapping drummers. Josh Freese, formerly of the Foo Fighters, returns to Nine Inch Nails, replacing Ilan Rubin, who will now drum for the Foo Fighters. Freese was unexpectedly let go by the Foo Fighters in May. Rubin has been NIN's drummer since 2009. Both bands confirmed the changes via social media. The switch-up comes as Nine Inch Nails prepares for their North American tour and the Foo Fighters celebrate their 30th anniversary.
