Skywatchers are in for a treat this week! Two meteor showers, the Alpha Capricornids and Southern Delta Aquariids, will peak, offering the chance to see bright fireballs. The Capricornids, best viewed from the Southern Hemisphere, will peak around 1 a.m. ET Wednesday, while the Aquariids, stronger and visible in both hemispheres, peak at 3 a.m. ET. The Perseids are also active, adding to the celestial show. Experts suggest dark locations with high altitudes for optimal viewing, and encourage reporting sightings to the American Meteor Society.
