Ichiro's Hall of Fame Speech: Marlins Joke, Yankee Thanks | JQJO

Hall of Famer Ichiro Suzuki's induction speech included a humorous jab at the Miami Marlins, admitting he'd never heard of the team before signing with them in 2015. He also acknowledged his former Yankee teammates, notably CC Sabathia, during his speech, delivered entirely in English. Suzuki, a near-unanimous selection, played 19 seasons in MLB, adding to his nine years in Japanese baseball. His speech highlighted his career journey, punctuated by both self-deprecating humor and heartfelt gratitude.
