Ichiro Suzuki adds humorous touches to Hall of Fame induction ceremonies

Ichiro Suzuki, the first Japanese-born Hall of Famer, delivered a humorous and heartfelt acceptance speech in Cooperstown, playfully teasing a writer who didn't vote for him and the Miami Marlins. CC Sabathia and Billy Wagner were also inducted, along with Dave Parker (posthumously) and Dick Allen. Suzuki's induction was celebrated by a large crowd, many from his former team, the Seattle Mariners. Sabathia and Wagner also gave memorable speeches, reflecting on their careers and the state of baseball. The ceremony was delayed by morning showers but was ultimately sunny and celebratory.
