Kim Jong Un’s powerful sister says South Korea remains the ‘enemy’ and there’s ‘no interest’ in talks

Kim Yo Jong, sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, declared South Korea remains an enemy despite recent South Korean attempts at de-escalation. North Korea shows no interest in talks, regardless of South Korean proposals. Kim criticized the new South Korean president's reaffirmation of the US alliance, viewing it as an obstacle to improved relations. South Korea's Unification Ministry, while noting Kim's statement wasn't overly hostile, acknowledged the significant mistrust between the two countries. Despite this, South Korea aims to continue pursuing reconciliation and cooperation.
