Tea App User Data Exposed in a Breach of 72K Images

The anonymous women's dating app Tea experienced a data breach exposing approximately 72,000 images, including selfies and IDs, from a legacy system. The breach, discovered on July 25th, involved unauthorized access resulting in the exposure of user images, comments, and direct messages. Tea claims current user data was unaffected and is working with cybersecurity experts. Despite the breach, the app continues to gain popularity, recently reaching the top of the US Apple App Store.
