Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon is expected to be sidelined for an extended period due to a foot injury, placing his guaranteed salary at risk. The injury, listed as non-football related, occurred outside of football activities. This absence creates a significant opportunity for Nick Chubb, recently signed by the Texans, to take on a larger role and potentially thrive, given the team's overall competitiveness.
