Messi, Alba Suspended: Inter Miami Outraged | JQJO

Inter Miami CF is outraged over the one-game suspension of Lionel Messi and Jordi Alba for skipping the MLS All-Star Game. Co-owner Jorge Mas called the punishment "draconian," citing the team's grueling schedule of nine games in 36 days. Messi and Alba were benched by the club, not by their own choice. Mas confirmed their disappointment but emphasized team unity. The MLS commissioner acknowledged the need to review the rule, while Inter Miami vows to maintain the same policy in the future. The team faces a crucial match against top-ranked FC Cincinnati.
