At least 25 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes and gunfire overnight, many while waiting for aid near the Zikim crossing. Shifa Hospital in Gaza reported the deaths. The IDF did not comment. The incident follows a day where 89 deaths were reported by the Hamas health ministry. International condemnation of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is mounting, with the UN and leaders of Britain, France, and Germany calling for an end to the violence and for increased aid access. The UK plans to airdrop aid and evacuate injured children. Despite claims by Israel, the New York Times reports that Israel lacks evidence of Hamas consistently stealing UN aid.
