The Arizona Diamondbacks traded first baseman Josh Naylor to the Seattle Mariners. In exchange, the Diamondbacks received minor league pitchers Ashton Izzi and Brandyn Garcia. This move, expected given Arizona's position near the bottom of the NL West, signals more trades may be coming before the trade deadline. Naylor, hitting .292 with 11 home runs this season, is headed to a contending Mariners team vying for a playoff spot. This trade also makes Naylor ineligible for a qualifying offer this offseason.
