Billions in Education Grants Released After Freeze

The Trump administration has released billions of dollars in grants to schools for adult literacy, English language instruction, and other programs. The funding, totaling over $6 billion, had been frozen since July 1st pending a White House review. This decision followed lawsuits and bipartisan pressure from Congress members concerned about the impact on schools and after-school programs. The funds will be distributed to states next week after the Office of Management and Budget completed its review, averting potential cuts to crucial educational services.
