Plane crashes in Russia's far east, nearly 50 people feared dead

A Soviet-era Antonov An-24 passenger plane crashed in Russia's far east on Thursday, killing all 43 passengers and six crew members onboard. The plane, operated by Angara Airlines, was en route from Blagoveshchensk to Tynda when it disappeared from radar. The burning wreckage was located approximately 15km from Tynda in a forested area. An investigation into the crash has been launched.
