How much is ETIAS? Fee set to triple for visa-free travelers to Europe

Europe plans to nearly triple the ETIAS travel authorization fee to €20 ($23) by late 2026. The increase, originally set at €7, is attributed to inflation and operational costs. The ETIAS system, adopted in 2018, requires pre-travel authorization for entry into the Schengen Area and has faced multiple delays. The new fee aligns with similar authorizations in the UK and US.
