YouTube is launching new AI features for Shorts creators. These include an image-to-video tool that transforms photos into six-second videos, and AI effects to enhance doodles and selfies. The image-to-video tool, powered by Google's Veo 2 AI model, is initially rolling out in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. New AI effects allow for creative transformations like turning selfies into underwater scenes. All AI-generated content will be watermarked for transparency. A new AI Playground hub is also available for accessing these tools.
