Google is launching generative AI video features for YouTube Shorts and Google Photos, initially using the Veo 2 model. YouTube creators in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand can now create AI videos from photos or text prompts, with an AI playground hub offering tools and examples. While the current Veo 2 model produces less realistic videos than the upcoming Veo 3, an upgrade is planned. The features will expand to more countries soon.
