A smartwatch led search and rescue crews to a downed plane in Montana's dense woods. All three occupants, Rodney and Madison Conover of Tennessee, and Kurt Robey of Utah, were found dead. The plane, a Piper Cherokee, departed from West Yellowstone Airport Thursday night. Authorities used the smartwatch's location data to pinpoint the crash site Friday afternoon, despite challenging terrain. The FAA and NTSB are investigating the cause of the crash, which occurred in weather conditions including strong wind gusts.
