At least 27 people, mostly students, died when a Bangladesh Air Force F-7 jet crashed into a school in Dhaka. The jet, on a training exercise, reportedly suffered a mechanical failure shortly after takeoff. The pilot was among the casualties. The incident is the deadliest aviation disaster in Bangladesh in decades. Over 170 people were injured, many with severe burns. An investigation into the crash has been launched.
