Russia has made small territorial gains in Ukraine recently, primarily in the east and south, but these advances are slow and represent a fraction of Ukraine's territory. While Russia enjoys a manpower advantage, it's also suffered heavier equipment and casualty losses. Ukraine continues to receive Western military aid, and recently launched a significant drone attack on Moscow airports. Despite ceasefire talks failing, the White House's position on aiding Ukraine remains unclear while the Kremlin dismisses threats of sanctions.
