Typhoon Wipha slammed Hong Kong, triggering a level 10 warning, the highest ever issued. The storm caused widespread disruption, including a 19-hour No 8 or above signal, injuring dozens, toppling hundreds of trees, and stranding thousands of air travelers. Public transport was largely suspended, and over 500 flights were cancelled. While the signal was downgraded to No 3 by 7.40 pm, the city is slowly returning to normalcy.
