Perplexity's Comet Browser: AI-Powered Web Assistant | JQJO

Perplexity launched Comet, an AI-powered browser aiming to simplify web browsing. Available to Perplexity Max subscribers or via waitlist, Comet integrates Perplexity's AI answer engine, replacing standard search results with summarized information and links. It includes an AI assistant for summarizing articles, images, and videos, and completing tasks like email creation and social media posting. While efficient for some tasks, it can be slower than manual completion for others. Comet's agentic abilities, activated by 'take control of my browser,' allow for actions such as online shopping and booking, though it may encounter occasional errors.
