Ukrainian drones reportedly target Moscow, St. Petersburg amid wider strikes

Ukraine launched a large-scale drone attack on multiple Russian regions overnight, targeting Moscow and other cities. Russian officials reported numerous drones downed, with varying accounts of casualties and damage. In Moscow, three drones were intercepted; in St. Petersburg, Pulkovo Airport briefly suspended operations. Other regions, including Belgorod and Voronezh, also reported drone strikes and casualties. The Kyiv Independent cannot independently verify the claims made by Russian officials. The attacks follow a series of recent Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities and infrastructure.
