Fan Toxicity Prompts "Summer I Turned Pretty" Warning | JQJO

Following online bullying targeting its cast, "The Summer I Turned Pretty" issued a PSA warning fans against hate speech, harassment, and doxxing, threatening bans from the show's community. This follows similar warnings from other shows like "Love Island USA." The show's immense popularity, fueled by its love triangle storyline and social media engagement, has unfortunately led to intense fan reactions, including misgendering and targeted attacks on actors. While some fans support these measures, others continue to engage in harmful online behavior. The producers aim to protect their cast and maintain a positive fan environment.
