Gunn's Superman: A Human, Flawed, and Weird Reboot | JQJO

James Gunn's Superman reboot offers a deeply human and flawed Kal-El, played by David Corenswet. The film features a world where superheroes have existed for centuries, resulting in public skepticism. Lex Luthor's villainy is explored, alongside a retconned origin story revealing Jor-El's potentially genocidal plans. The movie avoids multiverse tropes, focusing on Superman's identity crisis and his relationship with his super-powered dog, Krypto. The unique portrayal of Superman as an immigrant and the overall unconventional approach have generated both praise and controversy.
