NASA has selected three scientific instruments for its Artemis lunar mission. Two, AIRES and L-MAPS, will be integrated into the Lunar Terrain Vehicle (LTV) to analyze lunar surface composition and subsurface structures. A third, UCIS-Moon, will orbit the Moon providing high-resolution imagery. These instruments will significantly advance our understanding of the Moon's resources and inform future exploration plans, including potential human missions to Mars.
