Pope Leo XIV, during his summer vacation at Castel Gandolfo, delivered his first Angelus address on July 13th, 2025. He emphasized that serving life by caring for others is the supreme law, preceding all societal rules. Drawing from Jesus' example, he urged imitating Christ's compassionate love, offering consolation and hope. Pope Leo highlighted that eternal life isn't earned but inherited through God's grace by following His will: loving God and neighbor. This act of service, he stated, transforms individuals into artisans of peace.
