HBO has released the first image of Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter in its upcoming series adaptation of the books. Production has begun in the UK, with a 2027 premiere date. The series, executive produced by J.K. Rowling, will feature a new cast including Arabella Stanton as Hermione and Alastair Stout as Ron. Veteran actors John Lithgow, Janet McTeer, and Nick Frost will portray Dumbledore, McGonagall, and Hagrid, respectively.
