Fuel switches moved to 'cutoff' before impact in Air India crash

A preliminary report on the Air India Boeing 787 crash reveals that the engines' fuel cutoff switches were inadvertently moved to the "cutoff" position shortly after takeoff, causing a loss of engine thrust and subsequent crash. The report indicates pilot confusion regarding the switch settings. The flight lasted approximately 30 seconds from takeoff to impact, resulting in at least 260 fatalities. The investigation is ongoing, and Air India is cooperating with authorities.
