War crimes being committed in Darfur, ICC believes

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has found reasonable grounds to believe war crimes and crimes against humanity are being committed in western Sudan, particularly targeting women and girls. An ICC investigation, spurred by the ongoing conflict between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), revealed a pattern of violence including sexual violence and the deliberate withholding of aid. The situation in Darfur is worsening, with widespread displacement, famine, and disease outbreaks. The ICC is working to gather evidence and bring perpetrators to justice, despite claims of impunity.
