Srebrenica marked the 30th anniversary of the 1995 massacre of over 8,000 Bosniak Muslim men and boys. Seven newly identified victims were buried in a collective funeral at the Potocari Memorial Center, alongside over 6,000 others. Relatives often bury partial remains due to the scattering of bodies across numerous mass graves. The anniversary commemoration included an exhibition of victims' personal belongings. International officials attended, while Serbia, despite court rulings, continues to not fully acknowledge the event as genocide, though expressing condolences for the "terrible crime."
