Moscow’s top diplomat to visit North Korea as Pyongyang gets pulled deeper into Russia’s war on Ukraine

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will visit North Korea from July 11-13 for strategic talks, further strengthening ties between the two nations amid Russia's war in Ukraine. Ukrainian intelligence suggests North Korea is deploying more troops to support Russia's military efforts, adding to the estimated 11,000 already sent. This visit follows previous high-level meetings and comes amidst increased US frustration with Russia's actions in Ukraine. The strengthened alliance between Russia and North Korea could significantly impact the war and regional security dynamics. Reports indicate significant North Korean military aid to Russia, including troops, weapons and ammunition.
