A 67.5-million-year-old dinosaur fossil, the oldest and deepest ever found in Denver, was unearthed during a geothermal drilling project at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. The partial-bone fossil, located 763 feet below the surface, belongs to a herbivore similar to a thescelosaurus or edmontosaurus. The discovery, made during a geological study, is considered a significant find offering insights into Denver's prehistoric ecosystem. The fossil is now part of the museum's "Discovering Teen Rex" exhibit.
