Jokic Delays Nuggets Contract Extension | JQJO

Three-time MVP Nikola Jokic will not sign a contract extension with the Denver Nuggets this offseason, opting to wait until next summer. Jokic has two years remaining on his current contract plus a player option. While the Nuggets offered a three-year, $212 million extension, Jokic could earn approximately $80 million more by delaying the decision. This strategic move comes after the Nuggets' second-round playoff exit and roster shakeup, including a new head coach and front office leadership. Jokic's decision is anticipated by the Nuggets organization.
