New Interstellar Visitor Appears To Come From A Completely Different Region Of The Galaxy

Comet 3I/ATLAS, an interstellar visitor, is exhibiting unique characteristics compared to previous interstellar objects. A new model suggests it originated from the Milky Way's thick disk, a region of older stars, unlike 'Oumuamua and 2I/Borisov. Its high speed and reddish color further distinguish it. Researchers predict billions of such objects exist, and future telescopes will facilitate more discoveries, potentially revealing insights into planet formation.
