South Korea sends 6 rescued North Koreans back across sea border

South Korea repatriated six North Koreans on Wednesday after months of failed attempts to contact Pyongyang. The individuals, who arrived in South Korea in March and May aboard wooden boats, consistently expressed a desire to return. The handover, complicated by severed communication between the Koreas, occurred at sea with a North Korean patrol boat present. A separate incident involves a North Korean man crossing the land border into South Korea. Tensions remain high between the two nations due to North Korea's nuclear program and strained diplomatic relations.
