Shortest day in history set for TOMORROW as Earth's rotation unexpectedly speeds up

Earth's rotation is accelerating, potentially making Wednesday the shortest day ever recorded. Three days this summer (July 9th, 22nd, and August 5th) were already 1.3-1.51 milliseconds shorter than a standard day. Scientists attribute this to various factors, including atmospheric changes, glacial melting, and core motion. While the impact on daily life seems minimal, this change can affect satellite systems, GPS accuracy, and timekeeping. A negative leap second might be needed if the trend continues, an unprecedented event.
