Dow futures Fall; S&P 500, Nasdaq Set to Open Up; Trump Tariffs Fears; Tesla, Amazon, Exxon, More Movers

US stock futures showed slight gains Tuesday morning despite President Trump's renewed trade tensions. Trump extended the deadline for reciprocal tariffs to August 1st, but also sent letters to 14 countries outlining potential tariff rates (25-40%) if trade deals aren't reached. The delay complicates Federal Reserve inflation assessments, giving retailers more time before the holiday season. The 10-year Treasury yield rose slightly to 4.396%. More tariff letters are expected.
