Pope Leo XIV arrived at his summer residence in Castel Gandolfo, Italy, on Sunday, July 6th, 2025, to begin a two-week vacation. He was greeted by enthusiastic crowds. The Pope will reside in the Villa Barberini, while the papal palace and gardens remain open to the public. This marks a return to tradition, after Pope Francis opted not to use the Castel Gandolfo residence. The Pope will continue his weekly Angelus addresses from Liberty Square during his stay.
