Pearl Jam drummer Matt Cameron is leaving the band after 25 years. Cameron, who joined in 1998, thanked his bandmates and fans in a statement. Pearl Jam also released a statement expressing gratitude for Cameron's contributions and wishing him well. No reason for his departure was given by either party. Cameron's drumming career also includes notable work with Soundgarden and other projects. He will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Soundgarden later this year.
