Yankees Face Rotation Crisis After Schmidt's Injury | JQJO

Yankees pitcher Clarke Schmidt is likely to undergo Tommy John surgery, sidelining him for the rest of the season and likely most of next year. This leaves the Yankees scrambling to replace him before the trade deadline. Options include promoting a prospect like Cam Schlittler or acquiring a starting pitcher through a trade, though finding a suitable replacement will be challenging. The team hopes for the return of Luis Gil and Ryan Yarbrough to bolster their rotation, but the injury history of other starters adds uncertainty.
