A family of three was struck by lightning at St. Pete Beach on July 4th. St. Pete Beach Fire Rescue responded to the incident near 4700 Gulf Blvd. A 17-year-old girl was taken to Tampa General Hospital as a trauma alert, while two adults declined further treatment after receiving on-scene care. The incident occurred while the family was under an umbrella.
